If you wish to tour around the island so as to view as many Mykonos beaches as possible don’t miss trying Paradise and Super Paradise, two amazing sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, umbrellas and loungers and beach bars with an all day party atmosphere.
Paranga, Agrari, Agia Anna and Elia are some of the most cosmopolitan beaches in Mykonos as well, yet if you need a more low-key place to relax try Panormos, which is a good place for families, too. Mykonos Sightseeing
It is well worth spending some of your time during your holidays in Mykonos for some sightseeing. Mykonos Town is indeed the jewel of the island with the lovely windmills, the wonderful white-washed streets, the scenic churches and the fantastic Little Venice with the cafes and bars right at the waterfront.
Yet there are both inland and coastal settlements around the island which are picturesque enough for a visit, providing some marvelous attractions. Take the bus to Ano Mera to visit the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani, which is marvellous. If you spend the day at the beach of Panormos Bay you can also pay a visit at the Pre-historic and Ancient ruins of the area.
At Platis Gialos you will find remains of an ancient tank called the well of Giannaros and of the 3 Hellenistic towers. Yet the best attraction in Mykonos lies just 3 miles off the coasts of the island, in Delos, a small island where you can admire the remnants of a once thriving commercial and religious centre.
